PHOENIX – Highlighted by 33 home games, the last season competing against long-time Pac-12 rivals and leaving the state of Arizona for a prestigious early season tournament for the first time since 2007, Sun Devil Baseball and head coach Willie Bloomquist have announced the competition schedule for the 2024 campaign.

ASU's slate is 56 games and is made up of 26 non-conference matchups and 30 contests in league play, culminating in the final Pac-12 Conference Tournament in Scottsdale to open the postseason. The current dates and times remain subject to change based on TV/Live Stream allocations, which will be released at a later date.

Five opponents on ASU's 2024 schedule won their conference titles last season in Santa Clara, Stanford, UC San Diego, Cal State Fullerton and potentially TCU. The schedule features 26 games against teams that advanced to the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Sun Devil Baseball looks forward to a raucous home environment, welcoming home contests against 2023 NCAA Tournament competitors from Santa Clara, Washington, Oregon, Texas Tech and rival Arizona. Last season, ASU had a total attendance of 96,298 - a total that was second in the Pac-12 and the West Coast and 28th nationally. Phoenix Municipal Stadium averaged 3,106 fans per game last season – among the Top-Five attendance averages in program history.

The Sun Devils begin the 2024 slate against 2023 NCAA Regional competitor Santa Clara, kicking off the Opening Weekend of College Baseball on Friday, Feb. 16 at Phoenix Municipal Stadium for a three-game weekend series – the first of eight-straight home games to open the year.

ASU will square off with future Big 12 rival Kansas State in a midweek contest on Tuesday, Feb. 18 before welcoming Ohio State for a four-game set over four days beginning on Thursday, Feb. 22 and running through the weekend.

For the first time since 2007, the Sun Devils will leave the state of Arizona to compete on the national stage in a early season tournament, heading to Arlington, Texas, to take part in the 2024 College Baseball Series hosted at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers. The weekend field is comprised of 2023 Tournament teams from TCU and Texas A&M as well as Pac-12 rival USC. The schedule and format for the tournament will be released at a later date. It is the first time the Sun Devils have hit the road for a "preseason" tournament since competing in the Houston College Classic in 2007.

The Sun Devils will stick around in Arlington for a midweek contest against UT-Arlington on Tuesday, March 5.

ASU will return home from its trek to Texas to open Pac-12 action with a three-game home set against 2023 Super Regional participant and Pac-12 Tournament Champion Oregon beginning Friday, March 8. The weekend series will be followed by a home midweek against New Mexico on March 12.

The Pac-12 Conference tournament will be held at Scottsdale Stadium from May 21-25 in partnership with the City of Scottsdale and The Arizona Sports & Entertainment Commission. The Pac-12 announced a change in format for the 2023 tournament that will continue into the 2024 event, expanding the field to nine teams and switching to pool play.  There will be three teams in each pool, with each team playing two games in pool play with the top three team and a wild card advancing to a single elimination bracket to determine the league champion.
The Sun Devils will host one Fall Exhibition Game at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, welcoming Grand Canyon on Saturday, Nov. 11 with a time TBD – a week after heading to the University of San Diego for another exhibition contest.
