SPARKS, Md. - Sun Devil Lacrosse attacker Teagan Ng is set to compete in the 2023 USA Lacrosse Fall Classic at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Maryland running Oct. 13-15.
The sophomore will be a part of Team Canada in the six-team event, with Canada's U20 team joined by Haudenosaunee U16 & U18, Northwestern University, Team Ontario U16 & U18, U.S. Women's U20 Training Team, and USA Select U16 & U18. Ng is attempting to qualify for the roster that would attend the Women's U20 Championship in Hong Kong scheduled for August of 2024. She is part of the final tryout squad that is comprised of 43 of the nation's top up-and-coming prospects.
Canada opens up the 2023 USA Lacrosse Fall Classic with a matchup with the U.S. Women's U20 Team at 2 PM AZT on Friday. On Saturday, they take on defending NCAA Champion Northwestern at 6:30 AM AZT. The event wraps up with games taking place from 5 AM - 12 PM AZT on Sunday, with matchups determined based on previous results. All contests will take place at USA Lacrosse Headquarters.
Teagan Ng made an immediate impact on the program, starting and appearing in every game for the Sun Devils this season. The Canadian scored a hat trick in her collegiate debut against St. Bonaventure, which was one of three hat tricks she had on the season. In Arizona State's win against UC Davis, she had a career high five goals and two assists for seven points. Ng led all freshmen in the Pac-12 in goals with 30 - 13 more than the next closest freshman - which was 17 from her teammate Lydia Oldknow.
