TEMPE – With a win at the Duel in the Desert behind them, six-time national champion Sun Devil Triathlon will head to Texas to compete at the Battle in the Fort Triathlon on Sunday at Marine Creek Reservoir.
The race will be the first full triathlon of the season for ASU and the first time the team will compete in Texas. Along with familiar rivals in Denver and San Francisco, newcomers Arizona and TCU are part of Sunday's competitive field.
The Sun Devils will feature a lineup of five returners and three newcomers in Texas. Camille Buchanan will lead the returning group following her eighth-place finish at least season's National Championship. She will be joined by Evan Welch, Faith Dasso, Naomi Ruff and Madison Judas.
All three members of the incoming class – Sidney Clement, Britney Brown and Zoe Mari Adam – will make their Sun Devil debut this weekend, with each coming off a strong summer season.
