CORVALLIS, Ore. – Sun Devil Softball and Oregon State went back and forth in the second game of their weekend series, but it was the host Beavers that struck last for a 7-6 win to even the series.
Arizona State (22-24, 6-17 Pac-12) rallied to take the lead on two separate occasions, only to see OSU (14-28-1, 5-17-1 Pac-12) score twice in the sixth for the final margin. The top five in the ASU lineup finished 7-for-16 with five RBIs as the team totaled 10 hits overall.
Mac Osborne allowed four runs (three earned) in 3.1 innings before relievers Kenzie Brown, Deborah Jones, and Marissa Schuld combined to allow three runs in three innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oregon State used a pair of singles, a walk, and an error to plate two runs in the bottom of the first
- ASU responded with four runs in the top of the second. Alexa Milius had a leadoff single, and then a two-out walk to Kalya Lissy, and a single from Savannah Price loaded the bases.
- Makenna Harper gave ASU the lead with a 3-run triple to right, and then she scored on a single through the right side by Yanni Acuña.
- The Beavers retook the lead with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
- In the ASU fifth, Acuña singled, and Jazmyn Rollin walked to set up a game-tying double from Alexa Milius.
- Cunningham then reached on an error that allowed Rollin to score and give the Sun Devils a 6-5 lead.
- The lead went back to OSU after the Beavers scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to open a 7-6 advantage.
- ASU threatened in the seventh with a walk to Milius and a double from Sara Kinch, but pinch-runner Yaya Acuña was thrown out at the plate as the potential tying run.
- Harper picked up a hit for the third straight game with a pair of multi-hit games in the stretch.
- Her 3-run triple in the second was her third triple of the season and first since having two against CSUN in the season opener.
- Acuña drove in a run for the second straight game after entering the series without an RBI in the previous six contests.
- Milius has obtained a hit in six of the last seven contests, including back-to-back two-hit games against the Beavers.
- Her RBI double was the first run driven in by Milius since April 8 at Utah.
- With her sixth-inning single, Lissy has now recorded at least one hit in all seven Pac-12 series this season.
- Kinch's double was her second of the season and first since March 4 against Houston. It snapped an 0-for-12 stretch at the plate.
- Price extended her hitting streak to a season-long three straight games with her single.
