Jordan Clark and the Sun Devils have an eight-game home slate this year.

Sparked by an energetic and young head coach and the infusion of an experienced and driven football staff, Arizona State football is trending in the right direction as it looks towards its eight-game home schedule in 2023 under Kenny Dillingham.

Already more than 90 percent of Sun Devil season ticket holders have renewed their seats while 3,000 new fans have already purchased season tickets. A special "Early Bird" discount applies to all season tickets purchased before Thursday, April 27, 2023, while mini-plans are in place for those that can't commit to eight games.

The Sun Devils have an eight-game home schedule for just the sixth time since joining the Pac-10/12 and for just the third time this century (also in 2013 and 2007). ASU also had eight-game home schedules from 1982-84 and in 1989.

Also game day themes are set, as ASU will kick off the new campaign Thursday (Aug. 31), when they take on Southern Utah. The season opener will serve as ASU's Faculty/Staff Appreciation game.

On Saturday (Sept. 9), the Sun Devils will host their annual Black Out game against Oklahoma State.

The following week (Sat., Sept. 16) ASU welcomes Fresno State to Sun Devil Stadium for City of Tempe Night. It is also the Green Game highlighting ASU's standing as a national leader in sustainability.

A Maroon Monsoon hits Tempe for the Pac-12 opener against USC on Sat., Sept. 23, which has been designated as this year's Hispanic Heritage Night. The contest against the Trojans will also serve as Family Weekend.

One weekend after the team is in Berkeley against Cal, the 2023 Sun Devils Athletics Hall of Fame class will be recognized during halftime of ASU's Sat., Oct. 7 game featuring Colorado.

After a bye-week and a road trip to Seattle to take on Washington, the Sun Devils return for their Homecoming game Sat., Oct. 28 against Washington State. It will also be the Sun Devil Club/Junior Sun Devil Club game.

ASU's match-up against Oregon on Sat., Nov. 18 will be the program's annual Salute to Service Game. In what has become a campus-wide celebration of ASU's commitment to and support of military and community service, the game will feature a variety of service-themed programming.

The Sun Devils will close the 2023 regular season with Senior Day against Arizona on Sat., Nov. 25 as they look to bring back the Territorial Cup® to Tempe.

Season tickets and three-game mini plans are currently on sale and can be purchased at www.sundeviltickets.com or by contacting the Sun Devil Athletics Ticket Office at 480-727-0000. Appointments can also be made with a Sun Devil Sales and Service staff to tour Sun Devil Stadium seat locations.

THE OPENER ON THURSDAY, AUG. 31
The Sun Devils will open the Kenny Dillingham era at home in Sun Devil Stadium/Frank Kush Field on Thursday, Aug. 31 against Southern Utah.  Arizona State won its only matchup with Southern Utah during the 2021 campaign, 41-14 at Sun Devil Stadium.

HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS ON SEPT. 9
After the home opener, the Sun Devils will remain at home the following three weeks to take on Oklahoma State for the second straight year on Sept. 9. It marks the returning end of a home-and-home after ASU visited Oklahoma State last season.

NO. 24 AND MOUNTAIN WEST CHAMP FRESNO STATE COMES TO TOWN SEPT. 16
The Sun Devils host the 2023 Mountain West champions Fresno State on Sept. 16, which marks the fifth meeting all time between the Bulldogs and the Sun Devils. The squads met three times before 1941, with ASU winning all of them before the Bulldogs won the 2018 Las Vegas Bowl. Fresno State finished the 2022 season No. 24 in the Associated Press poll.

WELCOME BACK CALIFORNIA AND OREGON

It will be the first time since 2019 that ASU will face California and Oregon in conference play. The Sun Devils have won the last two matchups with the Golden Bears, and the last time Arizona State played Oregon was an upset win over the No. 6 Ducks in Tempe.

COUGS AND HUSKIES

ASU will play both Washington and Washington State for the third straight year, with the Sun Devils having won seven of the last ten games against the Cougars and ASU winning three of the last four games against the Huskies. Last season ASU topped then-#21 Washington at Sun Devil Stadium.

PAC-12 SOUTH OPPONENTS

The Sun Devils will take on Pac-12 South opponents USC, UCLA, Colorado and Utah to round out conference competition. ASU has found success against the Buffaloes as it has won six of the last seven games in Tempe. The last time the Sun Devils traveled to UCLA they took down the then-No. 20 Bruins at the Rose Bowl. ASU defeated the Trojans during the 2021 campaign 31-16 at Sun Devil Stadium which was the last time USC came to the Valley. Finally the schedule features a showdown at Utah who has participated in the Rose Bowl in back-to-back years.

TERRITORIAL CUP® SHOWDOWN
To cap off the regular season will be the annual battle for the Territorial Cup®, where ASU will attempt to take back the Cup. The Sun Devils have won five of the last six meetings against the Wildcats.
