FORT WORTH, Texas – Senior Hannah Scharf officially wrapped up the 2023 season for Sun Devil Gymnastics at the NCAA Championships, competing as an individual in the all-around.
Despite a rocky start on beam where Scharf suffered her first fall since 2021, she bounced back and put up solid scores on the other three events. In the second rotation, she went to floor and notched a 9.7875. The scores continued to climb as she nearly stuck her vault for a 9.8375. Finally, her best event of the night was on bars where she earned a 9.8625. In the all-around, she notched a 38.6375.
Scharf rotated with UCLA. In the vault rotation, she had the third-best score between her and the Bruin vaulters.
This was not the last time Scharf will put on a Sun Devil leotard as earlier this week, she announced that she will return for her fifth season in 2024.
