This is the second time in Scharf's career that she has gone to nationals as an individual, her first occurring in 2021 when she also went in the all-around. In that showing, she earned All-America Second Team honors on bars after scoring a 9.8875. At nationals, All-American status is determined by taking the top four, with ties, on each event and the all-around from each session at the NCAA national championships for the first team and fifth through eighth from each session for the second team.

Individual qualifiers are the top all-around competitors and the top event specialist on each event from each regional who are not on an advancing team. Scharf scored a 39.625, which was the second highest between all gymnasts in both sessions of the second round of the Pittsburgh Regional. The only score that was higher belonged to a gymnast from Florida, who advanced to nationals.

Scharf has had a big senior campaign for her Sun Devils, competing in the all-around in every meet. She ended the regular season ranked No. 21 in the all-around and earned All-Pac-12 First Team honors in the all-around and on floor. She has four all-around scores of 39.625 or better, including her score at regionals. Her career-high of 39.675 that she earned against Utah is tied for the 10th-best all-around mark in program history. She has 19 scores of 9.9-plus (five are 9.95-plus), eight of those coming from floor. Of 52 routines, she has scored below a 9.800 just five times. She has 11 event titles to her name this season and two Pac-12 Coaches Choice of the Week nods.
