With Winter sports fully wrapped up and Spring Sports in the midst of their seasons, it's a busy time of the year in Tempe. With 24 schools visiting the Valley in February, and March was not any less busy, as 28 schools traveled to matchup against Arizona State in the month, keeping the Sun Devils and its fans busy. 

The past two months had 80 home events hosted by Sun Devil Athletics in both months, with 54 schools coming to the Valley.

Let's take a break, as April begins and go ahead to take a look at all the opponents, fans, visitors, and the Sun Devils themselves in the months of February and March.

GYMNASTICS BEATS UTAH, SAYS GOODBYE TO SENIORS
4,838 - The Gym Devils saw 4,838 in attendance during the two home victories hosted over the last two months.

9.875 - The score needed by Senior Hannah Scharf win the duel on the final floor routine against the No. 4 Utah Utes, which gave Arizona State an .050 margin of victory, ultimately taking the upset.

5 - The Gym Devils say their proper good-bye to five seniors, defeating Jade Carey and then-undefeated No. 11 Oregon State in the final home meet of the season.

WRESTLING SENIOR DAY
6 - In the final home game of the year on the mat, the Sun Devils got it done in dominant fashion on Senior Day. Every ASU wrestler won their match against CSU Bakersfield, sending the six seniors out in style! Another win in Mullett Arena this February secured the undefeated mark in the Sun Devils' new home.

WALK-OFFS AND BROOMS! BASEBALL IS BACK!
6,370 - Up in Phoenix the Sun Devils have been popular to start the season, with an average attendance of 3,291. On the Friday night Arizona State hosted the Wildcats, Phoenix Municipal saw over 6,000 visitors for the rivalry matchup in 6-5 victory.

1 - It's almost spring and baseball is back! Your have to get the first win to get the last. The Sun Devils got their season started on the home grass, walking off San Diego State in route to a 1-0 start on the season!

3 - Back on the diamond the Sun Devils got it done against the school down south! ASU swept the Wildcats for the first time since 2019.

MEN'S TENNIS STAYS HOT IN TEMPE!
2 - After dropping the doubles point, the Sun Devils fought back to take a home victory over Pepperdine. Sophomore Murphy Cassone clinched the victory on Court 1 after dropping the first set, winning two sets in a row sending ASU home with a victory.

6 -  The amount of wins Sun Devil men's tennis managed to put together in the month of February, going undefeated with six wins and only allowing opponents to win four matches on ASU's home court.


SWEEPS AND DINGERS! SOFTBALL IN FULL SWING
12 – The amount of multi-home run games the Sun Devils have had this season in Megan Bartlett's first season at the helm. 

7 - The Sun Devil Softball squad got their season started in style at Farrington, winning seven of their first eight home games, including a sweep of Iowa State in their first home series of the season. Jordyn VanHook earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career and currently is tied for second in the nation with 14 home runs.

14 - VanHook continued her strong Senior campaign with a go-ahead two run shot for the Sun Devils. It was her 14th tank of the season, which is tied for second in the nation.

BROOMS OUT AT MULLETT! HOCKEY KNOWS SWEEPS
14 – The amount of wins Sun Devil Hockey achieved in the inaugural season at Mullett Arena, winning 14 home games and five sweeps over the course of the season. 

13 - After a sweep to end January, the Sun Devils kept the winning ways on the ice after a two-game sweep over Lindenwood. Over the weekend Arizona State put 13 pucks in net, tying program records for goals in game and the largest margin of victory after an 8-2 win.

7 - Sun Devil Hockey said its goodbyes to seven seniors. Sending them out in style by securing the sweep over Long Island in March. Including an empathic goal in overtime my team captain Josh Doan.

4,734 - The average attendance for Arizona State men's hockey in the past two months. The team debuted the new arena this season, playing at Mullett Arena for the first time and sharing the venue with the Arizona Coyotes (NHL).

MEN'S BASKETBALL WINS FINAL HOME GAME
59 - The Sun Devils men's basketball team celebrated the seniors by defeating Utah during Senior Day at Desert Financial Arena. Warren Washington dropped 18 points, tied for his second highest output as a Sun Devil. ASU also received 29 combined points from the Cambridge brothers - 15 from Desmond Jr. and 14 from Devan - in the winning effort. Overall, Sun Devil seniors contributed 59 of ASU's 67 points. 


11 – The seed received by the Sun Devils after securing a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019. Bobby Hurley's squad would dominate their first four game over Nevada and fall in a heartbreaker against No. 6 TCU in the first round.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL SENIOR DAY
2 - The Sun Devil women's basketball team wrapped up their season in Tempe, celebrating the program's annual Pink Game for Breast Cancer Awareness while celebrating the seniors. Senior Isadora Sousa and graduate student Kayla Mokwuah were recognized prior to Sunday's game as part of Senior Night.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL READY TO BATTLE IN THE SAND
5 - The Sand Devils are
coming off of their best Pac-12 season and their first home slate at the brand new facility, ready to improve on the solid 2022 season. The Sand Devils will host a total of five matches at home this season. The first home match happened against No. 18 Arizona on March 29, where the team came back down 0-2 to win 3-2. The other four home matches will occur during the home tournament on the weekend of April 14-15.

LACROSSE OPENS SIX-GAME HOME SCHEDULE
605 - The highest attendance in Arizona State home opener history. The team is averaging 523, a considerable jump from previous seasons.

16 - In their first home game with new head coach Taryn VanThof, the Arizona State women's lacrosse team took home a victory against St. Bonaventure. Finding the back of the net 16 times in the first Tempe matchup for the new head coach.

.522 - The Sun Devils shot their highest shooting percentage of the season in their first conference win of the season, taking down the Oregon Ducks in a Tempe matchup. Arizona State is 2-1 at home to start the season.

SWIMMING AND DIVING BEAT THE CATS
165/123 - Swim and Dive only had one home meet in February, their last of the year. The Sun Devils celebrated the seniors with some style, sweeping Arizona with huge margin of victories. The men's swim team continued their success with celebrating their first Pac-12 Championship.

WOMEN'S TENNIS REMAINS PERFECT AT HOME

Women's tennis were undefeated at home in February and March, with zero losses in Tempe. They held the Ducks to 0 team points in the third place game at the Diablos Tennis Tournament.
