TEMPE – Farrington Stadium will host the Sun Devil Classic, presented by Gila River Resorts & Casinos, this weekend. The slate of 10 games will see No. 23 Sun Devil Softball play five times over the three days.

Arizona State will play New Mexico and Charlotte back-to-back on Friday and then Michigan State and Boise State on Saturday. They close the weekend against Houston on Sunday afternoon.

The five ASU games will be streamed on the Pac-12 Now app and ASU Livestream 2. Live stats will be available for all 10 games of the weekend via Statbroadcast.

The Sun Devils enter the weekend at 11-2 overall and riding a seven-game winning streak. They are coming off a three-game sweep of Iowa State last weekend to improve to 7-1 at Farrington this season. ASU has gone 35-7 at home over the past two seasons.

Three weeks into the season, the Sun Devils lead the Pac-12 with a .344 batting average and .647 slugging percentage, fourth nationally. They are also tops in the conference with 25 home runs while leading the country by hitting 1.92 homers per game.

In the circle, the staff has a 2.61 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. They are fourth in the conference at 7.00 strikeouts per seven innings. The opposition is batting .227 with a .610 OPS.

Jordyn VanHook has been on a tear to open the season for the Sun Devils. The senior is fourth in the Pac-12 with her .462 batting average while sitting third in the country with a 1.764 OPS.

VanHook leads the NCAA with nine home runs and by hitting 0.69 homers per game. She has driven in 16 runs while adding five doubles. During her current eight-game hitting streak, VanHook is 13-for-24 (.542) with seven home runs and 14 RBIs.

Yanni Acuña has continued her torrid start to the season with a .455 batting average and a team-leading 20 hits from the leadoff position. She has a team-high seven multi-hit games while posting a hit in all but two games and driving in 12 runs.

Acuña is tied for second in the Pac-12 lead with six doubles while sitting fourth in home runs (5) and third in slugging percentage (.932). Acuña has homered to leadoff the game three times this season.

Kenzie Brown leads the Sun Devils in the circle with a 5-0 record and a 1.50 ERA. Brown has won each of the past four games the team has played, becoming the first ASU pitcher to do that since Kelsey Kessler in March of 2016.
