No. 22 Arizona State (5-5, 2-3 Pac-12)
- The Gym Devils are coming off of their biggest win of the season, upsetting No. 4 Utah, 197.550 to 197.500, for the first win over the Utes since 2003. This was also their highest score this season. As a team on bars, the Sun Devils had a 49.550, which is the second-highest bars score in program history.
- With the start of the NQS (National Qualifying Score) this week, ASU moved to No. 22 in the weekly rankings, which came out prior to the Utah meet. However, in the daily rankings after the meet, Arizona State moved up to No. 20.
- Senior Hannah Scharf has been on a roll recently. She has earned season-highs in the all-around over the last two weeks and has not scored below a 9.850 on floor and a 9.800 on vault. - The AAI Award Nominations were released on Monday and Scharf is one of the 39 finalists. The award honors the top senior gymnast in the nation.
- Scharf and junior Sarah Clark both scored 9.975s on bars in the win over the Utes. It is the highest score on any event for the Gym Devils since 2019.
- Junior Emily White has been another all-around standout. She has already won five event titles this season, which ties her high for a single season halfway through the year. On bars and beam, she has yet to score below a 9.800.
- The last time ASU headed to Seattle was in February of 2021, where it beat Washington 197.05 to 193.58. That was the Sun Devils' largest margin of victory over the Huskies. Arizona State has won the last two dual meets against UW.
