SAN FRANCISCO – After helping the Sun Devils to a 4-1 record at the Littlewood Classic, Jordyn VanHook was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week, the first weekly award for ASU softball in 2023.

VanHook earns the first weekly award of her career. The senior from Woodland Hills, Calif., had a hit in all five games and finished 9-of-14 (.643) with two doubles, four home runs and 10 RBIs. She homered in the first four games of the weekend and finished the week with a career-best five-game hitting streak.

Two weeks into the season, VanHook is tied for tops in the country with six home runs and at 0.60 home runs per game. She can also be found 70th nationally with a .483 batting average and 33rd with 14 hits.

The Sun Devils will travel to Cathedral City, Calif., this weekend to participate in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. They will open the event by facing Loyola Marymount on Friday at 9 p.m. MST.
