TEMPE, Ariz. – After opening the season with the Cross Conference Challenge and nearly three weeks of rest, No. 10 Sun Devil Water Polo (3-1) hits the road for the first time this season to compete in the Stanford Invitational February 4-5. The Sun Devils will face the No. 1 Stanford, No. 4 California, No. 6 Michigan, and No. 17 San Jose State with two games each day, and none of the games will be streamed. ASU opened the season 3-1 in the Cross Conference Challenge including three dominating double-digit wins over CBU, Biola, and Azusa Pacific. Luca Petovary and Juliette Dhalluin swept the Week 1 Mountain Pacific Sport Federation Player of the week and Newcomer of the Week honors, respectively and currently are the top-two goal scorers for the Sun Devils. Petovary's 16 goals are second in the MPSF behind UCLA's Emma Linebeck who has played in two more games than the Sun Devils.

The weekend kicks off against the reigning NCAA Champions, No. 1 Stanford, and will start at 10:30 MST, and can be viewed via Stanford Live Stream. The Cardinal are 3-0 on the season after winning all three games in the Cal Cup last weekend. Aria Fisher earned MPSF Player of the Week honors last weekend after racking up 14 goals, six assists, and nine steals in the 3-0 weekend.

Friday continues with the second top-five matchup in No. 4 California who sits at 5-1 on the season with the only loss coming against Stanford. The game will start at 5:30 pm MST, and the live stats can be found via linktree and will be updated after every game.

Saturday morning is a shot at redemption for the Sun Devils, who will face No. 6 Michigan at 9am MST for the second time this season after falling 11-10 against the Wolverines in OT to close out the Cross Conference Challenge. The Wolverines have dropped their last two matchups against No. 6 Hawaii and No. 4 Cal at Fresno State's Bulldog Fest.

To close out the Invitational, the Sun Devils will face another MPSF opponent in No. 17 San Jose State at 4pm MST, though none of the games against MPSF opponents count as official conference games. San Jose State opened the season in Hawaii, and will enter the Invitational off of four straight losses in last weekend's Cal Cup to drop to 2-5 on the season.
