BALTIMORE, Md. – Selected to Team USA's women's lacrosse alternate roster over the summer, Arizona State assistant coach Haley Warden served on the nation's training team in July ahead of their championship run. Along with the team, Warden received her gold ring representing their success in 2022.

"It was an amazing experience to take gold on home turf as a member of Team USA last summer," coach Warden said. "After receiving my ring with the team this past weekend, I look forward to seeing where my professional career takes me and getting back into the grind. Now, I'm focused on preparing our Sun Devils for a successful spring season."

On July 9, 2022, Team USA earned their eighth Women's Lacrosse World Championships Gold Medal in a row. Facing a familiar foe, the Americans edged out Team Canada after beating them in the opening round of the tournament. Team USA took the final match in an 11-8 victory and became the first team to earn gold on their home turf.

Originally from Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, Warden made her name as a dominant dual-threat for the James Madison Dukes over an illustrious four-year career. Her junior season saw her named 2017 CAA Player of the Year and an All-American by both coaches and media. She followed that season by being named the 2018 NCAA Championship Most Outstanding Performer with four goals, including the game winner, in JMU's 16-15 victory. A 2x First Team All-CAA member, Warden graduated with school records in career draw controls (245) and caused turnovers (119).

After her prolific career as a player, she came back to JMU as a member of the coaching staff and assisted the Dukes to their third and fourth CAA Title in a row, a conference record. Warden spent three years on the sidelines at James Madison before coming to Arizona State ahead of the 2023 season, bringing her newly-earned jewelry from Team USA and a wealth of knowledge and experience both in the NCAA and internationally.
