TEMPE, Ariz. – An outstanding season in the pool plus the excellence he has exhibited in the classroom has landed Sun Devil Swim's Grant House on the 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team, the organization announced this week.

House, a redshirt senior from Maineville, Ohio, sported a perfect 4.0 GPA this season while majoring in Clinical Exercise Science. Split amongst geographic districts across the country, House is grouped in District 8 and is the only in the region with a 4.0 GPA. He's also just one of four Pac-12 swimmers listed.

After helping the Sun Devil Men's Swim team to its best finish at the NCAA Championships in 40 years, House earned CSCAA All-American status in the 200 free, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, 200 free relay and 200 medley relay.

He set new program records this season in the 100 free, 200 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay and 200 medley relay.

In early March at the Pac-12 Championships, House won the 200 free, becoming the fourth individual Men's conference champion of the Bob Bowman era. He helped the Sun Devils to a third-place finish, their best showing at the conference championships in 27 years.

First-team All-District honorees will now move on to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot, where the winners will be announced in June. As a sophomore in 2019, House was a Second-Team All-American.
