TEMPE, Ariz. – The Sun Devils put an exclamation point on the final day of the Thunderbird Invitational, winning each of the six matches they competed in on Sunday at the Whiteman Tennis Center to bring the team's fall season to an official close.

For the third consecutive day, Giulia Morlet and Marianna Argyrokastriti were victorious in their respective singles matches. They were the only two Sun Devils who remained unbeaten in singles throughout the entire weekend.

Morlet kicked it up a notch – she was the only Sun Devil who was perfect in both singles and doubles, winning all six matches she competed in.

MEANWHILE IN SAN DIEGO
Though the Sun Devils trotted out just a quartet of participants for the Thunderbird Invitational, Domenika Turkovic and Patricija Spaka remained in action this week competing at the ITA Fall National Championships in San Diego.

After a loss in the opening round, the Sun Devil duo was moved to the consolation draw – and didn't lose the remainder of the way. On Sunday, the two were crowned champions of the Women's Doubles Consolation Draw after beating Cal's Jessica Alsola/Katja Wiersholm (6-2, 6-3) in the final.

One of just 32 doubles teams in the country selected to compete at the heralded fall championships, here's a day-by-day look at how Turkovic/Spaka marched to a championship.

Wednesday, November 2: The Sun Devil duo was bested in the opening round of doubles by No. 2 seed Fiona Crawley/Carson Tanguilig from North Carolina (7-5, 6-4).

Thursday, November 3: Now in the consolation bracket, Turkovic and Spaka def. University of Incarnate Word's Brandelyn Fulgenzi/Lauren Fulgenzi (6-3, 3-6, 10-4).

Friday, November 4: Turkovic/Spaka def. Iowa State's Kajuru/Kezuka (7-5, 6-3) in the consolation quarterfinals.

Saturday, November 5: Turkovic/Spaka were triumphant in a terrific three-set battle against North Carolina's Maquet/Quiterio (6-4, 4-6, 10-8) to advance to the finals of the consolation bracket.

Sunday, November 6: Champions! Turkovic/Spaka slide past Cal's Alsola/Wiersholm (6-2, 6-3) to win the Women's Doubles Consolation Draw at the ITA National Fall Championships.
