TEMPE, Ariz. – Iowa native Madison Judas joins Sun Devil Triathlon in their quest to be six-time National Champions.
"Madison comes to us as a very experienced triathlete with a very strong background in swimming," said head coach Cliff English. "We're very excited to have her and we believe she will be a great addition to our team this season."
A current senior at Waukee Northwest High School, Judas has qualified for state the past three seasons in cross country. She received the Effort Award (2018) and Coach's Award (2019 and 2020) for her success.
In her only season swimming, Judas was recognized with the Senior Swimmer Award (2021) from her state championship swim team at Waukee Northwest. She swam in the 100M and 200M freestyle.
She is ranked 43rd overall in the Iowa high school swim rankings.
At the USA Swimming Sections this past year, Judas was a finalist for multiple freestyle events.
The American participated in triathletes when she was younger, but did not start competitively racing until the age of 15. She completed all her national triathlons in the Top-15.
During her early high school years, she competed in premier club soccer, as part of Team Iowa and academically, she maintained a 4.05 GPA. Once she steps foot at ASU, Judas hopes to major in business.
