The Arizona State men's golf team is in Palm City, FL, to compete in the 2022 Valspar Collegiate Invitational on Monday (March 28) and Tuesday (March 29), hosted by the University of Houston. It will be held at the Floridian Golf Club (par-71).
THE LINEUP
The Sun Devils lineup will be Josele Ballester, Preston Summerhays, Cameron Sisk, James Leow and David Puig.
THE FIELD
ASU, currently ranked No. 6 by Golfstat, will face the hosts Houston, No. 4 North Carolina, No. 5 Texas Tech, No. 10 Pepperdine, No. 17 Texas A&M, No. 20 Wake Forest, No. 21 Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Marquette, Ohio State, Pepperdine, South Florida, Texas A&M and USC.
TRYING TO IMPROVE RESULTS
The Sun Devils head to Florida hoping to improve not only last week's scores, but also last year's. In 2021, ASU finished fourth in this very same tournament, with 9-under par. Cameron Sisk and David Puig will repeat in the lineup. ASU finished tied for third place in last week's Duck Invitational in Oregon, as the Sun Devils were led by freshman Josele Ballester, who will also be in the lineup in Florida, and who shot 1-under 214 (71-73-68).
