TEMPE - The Sun Devils travel to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for the ITA Kickoff Weekend. ASU will compete against No. 5 Ohio State and either Northwestern or UNC over two days of action. ASU vs. OSU starts at 7 a.m. MST Saturday and play concludes Sunday. Fans can watch the action live via Playsight.

Last time out
The Sun Devils lost 6-1 against No. 5 Texas on Sunday afternoon at the Whiteman Tennis Center. ASU secured two doubles wins thanks to No. 42 Max McKennon/Fabien Salle's 6-2 win at No. 1 and Nicola CIgna/George Stoupe's 7-5 victory over Chih Chi Huang and Micah Braswell at No. 3
 
Scouting the Buckeyes
No. 5 Matej Vocel was named Big Ten Tennis Athlete of the week after going 3-0 against No. 23 Illinois. The team had a 4-0 victory against Illinois. Ohio won three straight-set victories at No. 6, 2 and 4 and was in position to sweep all three doubles courts. OSU has three players ranked in the top-25: No. 5 Vocel, No.14 JJ Tracy, and No. 21 Cannon Kingsley.
 
Scouting the Wildcats
Northwestern is coming off two home wins, one against Louisville and the second against IUPUI. The Wildcats secured the win against Louisville with a 4-2 score. Against IUPUI, Northwestern dropped the doubles point despite a 6-1 victory at No. 2 from Steven Forman/Felix Nordby. They rallied in singles with wins in three of the first four-finished matches, taking courts 1,3,4 and 6. Three singles Trice Pickens ranks No. 92 in the country.
 
Scouting UNC
UNC opened the year with a 7-0 sweep over Buckenel in their lone dual match thus far. Robin Catry ranks 36th, Brain Cernoch is 60th, and Logan Zapp/Casey Kania are ranked No. 20th.
