SAN FRANCISCO -- They upset No. 3 UCLA on Friday night for the first Sun Devil Soccer win against the Bruins since 2000, and now, junior Cori Sullivan and senior Jessica Hale are reaping the rewards. The Pac-12 Conference announced its recognition of Sullivan and Hale as the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, on Monday afternoon.
Sullivan scored the golden goal in the 99th minute during the first overtime in Los Angeles. Last weekend was Sullivan's first start the season and only fourth appearance after being cleared to play following an off-season ACL injury. As Sullivan pressured UCLA from the top, Hale led the backline against the highest-ranked team the Sun Devils have faced so far this season. The team conceded only one goal in the first half and stifled the UCLA offense, so much so that ASU goalkeeper Giulia Cascapera was forced to only make two saves through the match.
This is the first Pac-12 Player of the Week nomination for both Sullivan and Hale. Four other Sun Devil Soccer players have notched POWs this spring, including two-time Offensive Player of the Week Nicole Douglas, Olivia Ngyuen, and Giulia Cascapera.
Sullivan and Hale's work on both sides of the field against UCLA protected ASU's undefeated conference record. The 2-1 win is only the second dub against the Bruins in Sun Devil Soccer program history.

Week 1 - Nicole Douglas (Offensive)
Week 2 - Olivia Nguyen (Offensive)
