HAMILTON, NY -- Sun Devil Hockey (3-3-0) heads to the East Coast for the first time this season with a series against Colgate (4-1-0) on Friday, October 22 and Saturday, October 23. Both games start at 4 p.m. MST and will air on ESPN+.

ASU is coming off its first home sweep of the season with back-to-back 5-1 wins against the University of New Hampshire at Oceanside Ice Arena last weekend. Sophomore goaltender Cole Brady had his best game of the season against the Wildcats with 40 saves in game two to place him at second most saves in the country (142).

The Sun Devils continued their hot streak with power plays, as sophomore forward Matthew Kopperud notched two power play goals on four opportunities against the Wildcats on Saturday. The Colorado native has scored at least two points in five of the season's six games thus far. In Saturday night's matchup against UNH, Kopperud notched a season-high four points (2G, 2A) in a single game.

Freshman forward Josh Doan wasted no time growing into one of the team's leading point scorer. The Arizona Coyotes draft pick is the king of assists with eight on the season, which paces the entire NCAA. Doan ties with sophomore transfer Tim Lovell for second-most total points on the Sun Devil squad with nine a piece. In game two against the Wildcats, Lovell recorded a season-high three points (1G, 2A) through three frames.

"Colgate is off to a good start," said head coach Greg Powers. "It's an opportunity to get a really good quality road win on Friday… and we're looking forward to getting on the road together."

The Sun Devils have not played the Raiders since the 2017-18 season with two road losses in Hamilton. This is the second road series for the Sun Devils after facing Denver earlier this season.

  • With his two goals during the UNH series, Kopperud leads the NCAA in points with 13 (7G, 6A).
