Sun Devils Set for Competition at Texas Tech

TEMPE – The Sun Devils return to the Lone Star State this weekend to compete at the Texas Tech Invitational in Lubbock, Texas. The two-day meet begins with field events at 3:30 p.m. (2:30 p.m. MST) Friday, followed by running events at 5:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. MST). Saturday begins at noon (11 a.m. MST) with field events, and running events kick off an hour later. Twenty-seven Sun Devils are set to compete, including three freshmen. Fans can watch the action live via Big 12 Now on ESPN+, and live results will be posted here.
  
Sophomore Sydnee Larkin hopes to continue where she left off in 2019. Her indoor personal best in the triple jump is 12.60m that was set at the 2019 MPSF Indoor Championships, the last indoor season she competed in. That mark jumped her into No. 3 in the ASU record books.
 
Arizona native Alexander Gonzalez will be making his Sun Devil debut in the high jump. His personal best in the event is 6'8" feet. He improved his personal best by just under a foot after an injury early into his high school career.
 
Senior Kentre Patterson is scheduled for the 60-meter hurdles. He won his indoor season opener in the same event last year at the NAU Friday Night Duals, and finished third in the Ted Nelson Invitational two weeks ago.
