TEMPE, Ariz. -- Yannira Acuna hit a solo home run, her second in as many days, against No. 6 Washington (24-4, 3-2) on Sunday afternoon. No. 14 Sun Devil Softball (19-8, 2-4) clinched the series but fell to the Huskies to close out the series.
The two wins against UW allowed ASU to win the Pac-12 Conference series against the Huskies for the first time since 2018.
Acuna went yard last night and brought the same energy to the Sunday matinee, hitting a solo long ball to center field on UW's star pitcher, Gabbie Plain.
UP NEXT: The Sun Devils scheduled a quick turnaround and travel to BYU on Wednesday, March 31, for a non-conference match. While in Utah, ASU faces Utah for the third time this season with a four-game series on Thursday, April 1-Saturday, April 3.
