ROME - Redshirt freshman Cohlton Schultz won the Pac-12 Championship heavyweight title on Sunday in Corvallis, but now he's in Rome, Italy.
The Sun Devil flew over 4,800 miles after holding his first collegiate title to compete in the United World Wrestling's Ranking Series event, the Matteo Pellicone from March 4-7th.
This is the first event of the 2021 Ranking Series and the results go towards seeding at the Olympic Games. Many of the world's top wrestlers, including the Colorado-native, will be in attendance.
The Cadet World champion and two-time Junior World medalist will compete in Greco-Roman's 130 kg class.

His first-round match is against 2018 Senior World silver medalist Adam Coon. It's a rematch of the 2019 Final X best-of-three series, which Coon won. Greco-Roman will begin tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. local time (6:30 a.m. MST).
Three-time All-American and two-time NCAA Champion Zahid Valencia will also be competing in the Matteo Pellicone in Men's Freestyle 86 kg class which will begin on Saturday at 6:30 a.m. MST.
