TEMPE, Ariz. – Following the best road performance of 2020 on Monday, Arizona State gymnastics has two more meets this weekend, first at No. 24 Arizona on Friday before coming home for Senior Day against Pittsburgh on Sunday.

The Gym Devils (5-6-1) scored over a 196.000 for the third time this season last Monday in the win over the Cardinal. The 196.575 was the highest score ASU has earned on the road this season. Additionally, the team earned season-high event totals on bars (49.300) and floor (49.350). The bars total was the highest for an ASU team since February 2018.

At Stanford, Arizona State scored a 9.900 or better five times. This was the first time the program has put up five or more 9.900-pluses in a single meet since 2006 when they did so twice. Cairo Leonard-Baker scored 9.925s on both bars and floor, winning her the bars title. Freshmen Gracie Reeves and Hannah Scharf both earned 9.900s on vault, career highs for each of them, to win a share of that event title.

Friday's meet at Arizona will begin at 7 p.m. MST and will be on the Arizona Live Stream. On Sunday, the matchup against Pittsburgh will start at 1 p.m. MST and will be on the ASU Live Stream. The meet will celebrate the Sun Devils' five seniors: Jessica Ginn, Morgan Hart, Ashley Szafranski, Morgan Wilson and Graycee Zaugg.

Opponent Outlook
No. 24 Arizona (5-6) | Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m. MST
  • Like ASU, Arizona has three meets scoring over 196.000 this season, both teams surpassing that number in the last two meets. The Wildcats are coming off of a loss to Cal on the road.
  • The Gym Devils trail in the all-time series against the Wildcats, 12-10. The last two head-to-head matchups, however, have gone in favor of Arizona State. Additionally, at the 2019 Pac-12 Championship, ASU finished ahead of Arizona.
Pittsburgh (9-6) | Sunday, March 8 at 1 p.m. MST
  • The Panthers have scored a 196.000 or better in their last three meets, winning two of those. This will also be their fourth meet in a row on the road.
  • ASU and Pitt have met just twice in gymnastics, with the Sun Devils winning both matchups.
