TEMPE, Ariz. -- Sun Devil Hockey senior defenseman Brinson Pasichnuk was named the NCAA Second Star of the Week after his four-goal, five-point weekend against Alaska Anchorage.

On Senior Weekend, Pasichnuk vaulted himself into second in the country in points among national defensemen with a historic and memorable two-game sereis. Friday night, Pasichnuk became the first Sun Devil in program history to reach 100 career points with a goal late in the game. The following night, on Senior Night, Pasichnuk recorded his first collegiate hat trick and first collegiate four-point performance to lead his team to a 5-2 victory.

Since the new year, the Bonnyville native has had seven multi-point games and has eclipsed his previous best for points in a season (30) with his 34th point Saturday night. He currently sits three points out of the national lead this season in points by a defenseman.

Pasichnuk and the Sun Devils finish their regular season this weekend at Wisconsin Friday and Saturday night on Big Ten Plus.
