The Wildcats (11-3) outscored ASU -- who swept the season series last year for the first time since 2008-09 -- 50-18 in the paint and 25-9 on the fast-break. Remy Martin led Arizona State with 20 points.
"We didn't play the way we needed to on the offensive end, again," Arizona State coach Bobby Hurley said. "Missed free throws, open shots, late in the half especially where maybe it could have been a little more manageable at halftime put us behind it. Some of them were fairly open. Guys just have to make them."
ASU shot 7-of-27 (.259) in the first half and was just 1-of-10 from beyond the arc. It finished at 18-of-59 (.305) and 3-of-21 (.143). Martin was the only Sun Devil in double figures.
Kimani Lawrence had eight points, five rebounds and four blocks in a season-high 29 minutes.
ASU now travels to Oregon State for a Thursday 8 p.m. PT tip and then goes to Oregon on Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. PT game on Pac-12 Networks. Both games are on 98.7 FM.
