TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona State gymnastics is back home this Saturday to host No. 10 Cal in the Salute to Service meet, beginning at 4 p.m. MST.
Last week, the Gym Devils (3-3) struggled at No. 5 Utah. However, a handful of new career bests were earned in the meet. Hannah Scharf scored a 9.850 on floor for a new career high for the freshman. Sophomore Megan Thompson earned a career-high 9.825 on beam. Finally, freshman Gracie Reeves scored a career-high 9.800 on the uneven bars and 38.925 in the all-around.
The meet on Saturday will be the annual Salute to Service meet, which honors those who have served or who are currently serving their country. ASU has gymnasts on the team with military connections. Freshman Gracie Reeves and sophomores Kaitlin Harvey and Jasmine Gutierrez have connections to the military.
The Pac-12 matchup will begin at 4 p.m. MST in Desert Financial Arena. Fans can purchase tickets at SunDevilTickets.com. For those unable to attend, the meet will be broadcast on the ASU Live Stream. Following the meet, kids will be able to join the team on the floor to dance to one song. Participants must fill out a waiver on the concourse during the meet to participate.

- The Bears started the season with a solid 196.200 before stumbling at the NorCal Classic with a 194.950. However, they have bounced back in a huge way, scoring two-straight 197.000s, including a 197.325 at home against Stanford.
- Cal is led by Maya Bordas, who is ranked No. 15 in the nation in the all-around. Additionally, Kyana Georgia is ranked No. 4 on vault and Nina Schank is No. 4 on bars.
- Last season, ASU competed at Cal, falling short in that dual meet. The last time Cal came to Tempe, Arizona State won, scoring a 196.800.
