TEMPE, Ariz. -- Sun Devil Hockey junior forward Johnny Walker was named the NCAA Third Star of the Week after his two-goal, two-assist weekend at Brown.
The Phoenix native netted two goals, including the game-tying goal, on Sunday at Brown as the Sun Devils rallied from a 3-0 hole to win 4-3 in overtime. The two-goal performance made for his 13th multi-goal game of his career.
Walker is currently riding a four-game point streak with six points (2g, 4a), and sits tied for 6th in the country in points and tied for 7th in goals. His 14 on the season are three out of the NCAA lead.
He now has 28 points through his first 24 games, outpacing his total of 27 at this same point last season.
Walker and the Sun Devils return home this weekend to host RIT Friday and Saturday at Oceanside Ice Arena.
