TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State Track & Field signed six student-athletes to the 2020 signing class this week, including four transfers who bring an element of experienced talent to Tempe alongside two high school seniors to the men's squad, director of track and field, Dion Miller announced.

DUBEM NWACHUKWU - Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi - Katy, Texas
As a transfer, Nwachukwu brings plenty of accolades to Tempe - all quickly accomplished in only two years at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. During his freshman indoor season, Nwachukwu placed fifth in the 400m dash and was third in the 4x400m relay at the Southland Championships. In show of his continued success, he qualified for the NCAA Regional in the 400m, finishing 32nd in 47.45.
The next season as an Islander, Nwachukwu finished fourth in the indoor 4x400m relay and was sixth in the 400m dash at the Southland Conference Championships.

CYERA GORDON - University of Memphis - Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The first to put pen to paper was the University of Memphis standout Cyera Gordon, who officially became a Sun Devil on May 11. Gordon competed at Memphis for two seasons and will enter her junior year at Arizona State. She travels to the desert with an impressive trophy case after winning the Bronze Medal at the American Athletic Conference's Indoor Championships in the women's long jump in February 2020.
Last summer, Gordon placed sixth in the women's long jump at the 2019 USA Track and Field Junior Championships. The Murfreesboro, Tenn. native jumped a 19-0 (5.79m) to land in the top 10 - it was the sixth time she posted a mark of 19-0 (5.79m) or better in the outdoor season.
As a freshman at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Gordon placed 16thin the women's long jump with a mark of 19-11.5 (6.08m). Her finish secured Gordon All-America second team accolades.

Started the 2019 indoor season with a third place finish in the high jump with a score of 1.69 meters at the Reveille Invitational at College Station, Texas (Dec 7).
At Kora High School, Sharp was First Team All Region in track and field all four years and earned the title Athlete of the Year in 2018. She is the record holder of javelin throw and high jump at Kora High School, and holds the Arizona State javelin record in 2018. She earned a silver medal in high jump in 2019 and a bronze metal in 2018. Won the gold medal in the Great Southwest Classic in javelin.
