Sun Devil Supporters,
I hope you all are staying safe and are maintaining your health in these uncertain times. The last week has been one of the toughest in my 40 years in the sports industry, and while the decision to not finish out athletics competition this season has been difficult on all of us, I hope you all understand our number one concern is the health and well-being of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and team personnel. My heart aches for our Sun Devil teams, especially our seniors, but the ongoing threat of COVID-19 continues to evolve by the hour, and as seen by last week's events, necessary precautions continue to take place not just nationally, but globally.
You fans are the lifeblood of our programs and your ongoing support in these strenuous times is vital to our student-athletes and coaches. I want to thank those of you who have reached out over the last week. As our Sun Devil Athletics team continues to navigate these unchartered waters and figures out our "new norm," we appreciate the kind words and support.
Adversity brings the opportunity for us all to band together as a #SunDevilFamily and push forward. While our student-athletes may not be able to compete for our fans, we can all carry that passion and intensity into a successful 2020-21 season.
Thank you for your continued support and pride in being a Sun Devil. Today more than ever we must be there for one another. I am so proud to be a part of this family and I am confident the future is bright!
Sincerely,
Ray Anderson
