INDIANAPOLIS – The 2020 NCAA Wrestling Championships Selection Show announced the 10 weight classes that comprise of 330 wrestlers that will have a chance to compete for 10 individual titles and one team championship next week in Minneapolis, Minnesota at US Bank Stadium from March 19-21. 

 

Six Sun Devil wrestlers will take part in college wrestling's national tournament – Brandon Courtney (125), Jacori Teemer (157), Josh Shields (165), Anthony Valencia (174), Kordell Norfleet (197) and Tanner Hall (285). 

 

Shields and Hall will be competing in their fourth and final NCAA tournament, while Valencia receives his third berth and Norfleet qualifies for his second time. Courtney and Teemer both have a chance to make a run in their first NCAA Championship.   

 

The seeds of each ASU wrestler and first-round matchup are as follows: 

 

125: #9 Brandon Courtney vs #24 Patrick McKee (Minnesota) 

157: #9 Jacori Teemer vs #24 Matt Zovistoski (Appalachian State) 

165: #6 Josh Shields vs #27 Ricky Stamm (Hofstra)

174: #8 Anthony Valencia vs #25 Layne Malczewski (Michigan State) 

197: #9 Kordell Norfleet vs #24 Gage Braun (Northern Illinois)

285: #4 Tanner Hall vs #29 Zach Knighton-Ward (Hofstra)
