Hall becomes the third Sun Devil wrestler in program history to receive the conference honor as Jake Meredith and Chace Eskam received the award back in 2013 and 2015. He completed his electrical engineering undergrad degree with a 3.6 GPA in 2019 and currently holds a 3.6 GPA in his masters program with plans to graduate this spring. Hall is just one of five Sun Devil wrestlers apart of Barrett Honors College.

As a Sun Devil, Hall has been the definition of a student-athlete over his four seasons with multiple academic honors, including two National Wresting Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Academic Team selections in 2017 and 2018, while also being chosen to Pac-12 First Team All-Academic those same years.

The graduate senior from Meridian, Idaho has been an important cog to the Sun Devils success since stepping foot on campus back in 2015. He has compiled 104 wins in an ASU singlet, while earning a Pac-12 title at heavyweight and notching his first All-American honor at the 2017 NCAA Championships with a third place finish. With ASU heading into the most important part of their season this year, Hall will have one last chance to make another imprint on the program at the Pac-12 Championships and NCAA Championships this month.

In order to be eligible for the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, student-athletes must be a senior (in athletics eligibility) on track to receive a degree, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, participate in at least 50% of the scheduled contests in the sport and have a minimum of one year in residence at the institution.

The Sun Devils open up postseason action this weekend in Palo Alto, California at the Pac-12 Championships on Saturday, March 7. The conference tournament will get underway at 10:30 a.m. MST, with live coverage provided by Pac-12 Network.
