STANFORD/BERKELEY, Calif. – The No. 13/NR Sun Devil men's and women's swimming and diving squads head to the Bay Area this weekend to take on conference foes No. 19/5 Stanford and No. 2/2 California on Friday and Saturday. The squad is back in action after a bye week last weekend to resume conference play.

First up on the agenda for the Sun Devils is the No. 19/5 Stanford Cardinal, whose women won their third-straight Pac-12 Championship in 2019. The meet is set for a 4 p.m. MST start, while the Saturday meet against the Bears will begin at 1 p.m.

The meet is the first for the Sun Devils men since their matchup against Northwestern earlier this month.

Youssef Selim was awarded his second Pac-12 Diver of the Week honor this season for his efforts against the Wildcats, taking first in both the one-meter and three-meter springboard events. Camryn Curry also took home Swimmer of the Week honors for taking home sweeping wins in both the 50 and 100 free events.

Over the course of the season, several Sun Devils have been able to anchor themselves as some of the fastest in the nation including Zach Poti (100 back), Cierra Runge (200, 500 free) and Emma Nordin (1000, 1650 free) who all own top-10 times in Division I swimming.

Sun Devil relays have also taken the spotlight on the national level, including the women in the 800 free relay (fifth-fastest time) and the men in the 400 free relay (second-fastest time) as far as top-5 times go. The men owned the fastest time in the national earlier this season, racing to a time of 2:49.94 in the 400 free relay at the NC State Wolfpack Invitational for that feat.

Looking ahead to March, ASU has also put up several post season cuts with the men racing to one A Cut and 32 B Cuts with two months left in the season and the women taking 27 B Cuts so far. Youssef Selim has also secured his spot to compete at the 2020 Zone E Diving Championship in both springboard events while Frida Kaellgren is currently set to compete in the one-meter board.

Both meets in the Bay this weekend will be available on Meet Mobile with a paid subscription. Fans can also keep up with the action all season-long by following @ASUSwimDive on Twitter.
