TEMPE – The Sun Devils will face their biggest contest of the season thus far this weekend when they head to the Rod McCravy Memorial in Lexington, Kentucky, to take on a field of 17 programs.

The two-day meet is the first true road trip of 2020 for the Sun Devils, and the first trip to the Kentucky-based meet. While the first two meets of the season have been led by the throws group, a new leader will step up this weekend with coach Brian Blutreich's group taking the week off.

Although the star power of two-time NCAA champion Sam Noennig and NCAA shot put leader Turner Washington will be absent in Lexington, the Devils will send a handful of athletes who have also started their 2020 campaigns on a high note.

After two solid 60-meter marks that put her comfortably in the top-10 in school history, Josephine Anokye will open her account in the 200-meter dash this weekend in the Bluegrass State. The senior Devil advanced to the NCAA West Prelims last season with one of the fastest 200-meter marks in the nation at 23.00, and will line up for the race for the first time since May.

On the men's side, regional qualifier Marcus Reaves and CCCAA 200-meter champion Antonio Mitchell will also line up for their first 200-meter dashes of the season.

Cole Riddle appears to have not missed a beat after sitting out with an injury for nearly a year. The redshirt-sophomore is still one of the best in the nation as he sits in 12th in the NCAA in the pole vault after clearing 5.30m/17-4.5 feet in his season-opener.

Also on the rise after missing most of 2019 is Pennsylvania standout Austin Kratz. The sophomore will open in the 200 for the first time in his Sun Devil career, as well as compete in the 60 on Friday. Fellow Pennsylvanian Christina Warren is making her triple jump debut, an event that she dominated in the Keystone State, winning five state titles while at Perkiomen Valley High School.

This weekend will mark the first time the Sun Devils have had an entrant in the women's 400 with Reina Ferra and Arius Williams toeing the line for the quarter-mile. Up at the half-mile distance, Bianca Tinoco will run the women's 800 for the Sun Devils.

The Rod McCravy Memorial will be available to watch live on the SECNetwork+, and live results will be available on PTTiming.  For updates on the meet, follow @SunDevilTFXC on Twitter, and check back in to thesundevils.com following the meet for a full recap.
