BELLE FOURCHE RESERVOIR, S.D. – Sun Devil women's triathlon continued their dominant streak, sweeping the podium for the second meet in a row while placing three more competitors in the top-10 at the West Regional Qualifier in South Dakota. The squad also took first place as a team for the second meet in a row.

"Fantastic racing again by the whole team," head coach Cliff English said. "We're looking forward to a couple long blocks of training to get ready for our final regular season competition and then the national championships in Tempe Nov. 14."

Kyla Roy also dominated as an individual this week, following up her first-place finish last time out with another win this week. Less than 20 seconds separated Roy and Audrey Ernst, and Kira Stanley finished not far behind in third to exactly replicate the podium Devils in Wisconsin.

Hannah Henry took home fourth in her 2019 debut to secure a top-4 sweep for the Sun Devils. Rebecca Naughton (seventh) and Kenzi Wilson (ninth) rounded out Arizona State in the meet.

"Very proud of the team in how hard they raced!" English said. "They left it all out there."

Roy's time of 1:01:12.4 is currently the third-fastest time in the nation through two races. With that finish, she now holds two of the three fastest times after she finished at 1:00:45 at the West Regional Qualifier.

The Sun Devils take one month off and are back in action on Sat., Oct. 19 at the East Regional Qualifier, the last race of the season for the squad. Fans can keep up with the action all season-long by following @SunDevilTri on Twitter.
