The Arizona State Sun Devils men's golf squad will start its 2019-2020 season at the Maui Jim Invitational in Scottsdale, Ariz., September 13-15 at Mirabel Golf Club. The Sun Devils have played well at this tournament recently as they earned the title in 2017 and finished second in 2018. Senior Chun An Yu finished second at last year's Maui Jim, shooting a 13-under 197 (65-64-68) trailing only Clemson's Bryson Nimmer. In addition to the team event, the Mea Lanakila Individual will be held as well at Desert Forest.
THE FIELD
ASU will compete in a field of 15 teams at Scottsdale's Mirabel Golf Club (par 70/7,081 yards) which includes Arizona, Augusta, Minnesota, Illinois, Georgia State, Florida State, Kent State, North Carolina State, Pepperdine, Southern California, Clemson, Utah, LSU and Colorado.
THE MAUI JIM LINEUP
The Sun Devil lineup is led by senior Chun An Yu, who earned first-team PING GCAA Academic All-America honors in 2018-19 with a 69.20 stroke average, second-best in school history. He also won the 2019 ASU Thunderbird Collegiate...also in the lineup are sophomore Cameron Sisk, the 2019 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, and junior Mason Andersen, who posted a win last year at the Lamkin Grips SD Classic. Anderson holds the fourth-best freshman scoring average by an ASU player...lineup also includes sophomore James Leow, who posted 12 rounds of par or better last year, and Junior Won Jun Lee, who had eight rounds in the 60s.
MEA LANAKILA INDIVIDUAL
This tournament will take place at Desert Forest Golf Club and is a par 72 and 7,100 yards...ASU's lineup is made up of senior Blake Wagoner, a 2018 and 2019 Pac-12 First Team All-Academic selection, and senior Alex del Rey, who earned 2018 All-Pac-12 first-team honors and 2019 All-Pac-12 second team honors and recorded four top-10 finishes and had a 70.89 stroke average in 12 rounds...ASU will also be putting into the tee box junior Koichiro Ishika, who has three top-10 finishes, freshman Ryggs Johnston, who will be making his collegiate debut, and junior Paul Chaplet, who is the second-youngest golfer to compete at the Masters.

--James Leow: Averaging 71.06 per stroke last year in 18 rounds, Leow looks to have a breakout season
--Won Jun Lee: Finished third in the National Invitational Tournament in Tuscon in 2019.
--Blake Wagoner: Hailing from North Carolina, Wagoner has a 72.44 stroke average with 22 rounds in the 60s and 55 rounds at par or better.
--Alex del Rey: Has 19 eagles over the last two years and won Pac-12 Golfer of the Month for March in 2019.
--Koichiro Ishika: Finished in sixth place in the 2018 Pac-12 Championship and earned honorable mention Pac-12 All-Freshman honors.
--Ryggs Johnston: Incoming freshman won the 2018 Montana State Amateur by eight strokes and won four State High School Championships.
--Paul Chaplet: Finished second in the Copa Los Volcanes in 2019.
