A Season-Long Celebration of Jake Plummer’s College Football Hall of Fame Induction

Sun Devil Athletics, Sun Devil Club, and Gila River Hotels & Casinos – Wild Horse Pass, Lone Butte and Vee Quiva are celebrating Jake Plummer's induction into the College Football Hall of Fame throughout the 2019 football season. 

The celebration, a collective effort that spans multiple departments across campus and around the community, includes limited edition 1997 Rose Bowl bobbleheads, two spectacular events at Wild Horse Pass, a one-of-a-kind painting, an on-field recognition, and commemorative shirts. 

Sun Devil Athletics and Gila River Hotels & Casinos collaborated with Done Deal Promotions, an ASU-alumni owned business in Illinois, to create a custom, 6-foot bobblehead of Jake Plummer and a limited number of 7.5-inch bobbleheads. Both the life-size bobblehead and 7.5-inch bobbleheads are modeled after the uniforms worn in the 1997 Rose Bowl and include the iconic Rose Bowl patch, as well as Plummer's signature red, white and blue armbands.
  
The bobbleheads will only be available through the purchase of Jake's Maroon and Gold Ticket, which costs $100, and includes one limited edition 7.5-inch 1997 Rose Bowl Jake Plummer bobblehead and one raffle ticket for an opportunity to win a 6-foot 1997 Rose Bowl Jake Plummer bobblehead. Only 2,000 tickets will be sold and the drawing for the life-size bobblehead will take place at the annual Sun Devil Football Awards Banquet on December 8. 

Fans who purchase Jake's Maroon and Gold Ticket before October 12 will also receive two complimentary tickets to Sun Devil Football's game vs. Washington State on October 12, courtesy of Gila River Hotels & Casinos. 

The Sun Devil Club also commissioned local artist Christopher Roche to recreate Plummer's iconic scramble in the 1997 Rose Bowl and fans will have the opportunity to own limited edition signed prints of the artwork at the annual Sun Devil Football Awards Banquet on December 8 and online at christopherrocheart.com.

Gila River Hotels & Casinos is hosting two events in honor of Plummer and his teammates on Friday, November 8 at Wild Horse Pass, including an afternoon meet-and-greet open to the public from 2 to 3 p.m. on the Spotlight Patio, followed by a private reception for Plummer's family, friends and teammates. 

The National Football Foundation and Sun Devil Athletics will formally honor Jake and his teammates in an on-field recognition during the Sun Devils' November 9 game vs. USC as part of the NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salutes, presented by Fidelity Investments. 

Sun Devil Licensing has designed three shirts commemorating Plummer to coincide with the November 9 recognition and a portion of the sales of the shirts will go back to the Sun Devil Club to support student-athlete scholarships. 

Plummer will be formally inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on December 10 during the 62nd NFF Annual Awards Dinner at the New York Hilton Midtown.
