TEMPE, Ariz. – Finishing up a successful summer slate, Nathan Ponwith and Sun Devil for Life Justin Roberts have combined for three professional wins so far this summer with Ponwith taking home a singles title and Roberts winning both a singles and doubles title.
In his first tournament of the summer, rising senior Nathan Ponwith took home his first singles title since 2016 at the Fletcher Financial Open in Illinois. He glided past fellow American Strong Kirchheimer in straight sets, who currently sits at No. 172 in the ITF World Tennis Singles Ranking and No. 643 by the ATP. Ponwith has been busy ever since, playing in six tournaments since his early June win, marching as far as the quarterfinal of the Norman Open Series Men's 15K.
