SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Two members of the 2019 Sun Devil Women's Lacrosse team received All-Conference recognition from the Pac-12 on Thursday morning.
The Pac-12 Conference announced its 12-member first and second team All-Conference lists as well as their Players & Coach of the Year awards after the completion of the 2019 regular season. The teams were selected by Coach's vote, with each institution having equal input in the decision.
Sun Devil attackers Emily Glagolev and Kerri Clayton found themselves on the Pac-12 All-Conference Second Team after each enjoyed spectacular seasons. Not only were both individuals essential pieces of Arizona State's offensive attack, they were also team leaders providing a positive presence in the locker room.
The dynamic duo combined for an incredible 102 points (56 goals & 46 assists), not only proving to be a threat with their scoring prowess, but also causing opposing defenses fits with their ability to facilitate. Both players were extremely reliable and consistent, starting 35 of a possible 36 games between the two.
Sophomore attacker Emily Glagolev hard work in the offseason paid off, as she took her game to another level after a successful freshman year. Her ability to find open teammates was a key part of the Sun Devil offense, as she finished with at the top of the Pac-12 with 33 assists. On five different occasions, Glagolev recorded three or more assists in a game. She enjoyed a career-best performance in the Sun Devils win over San Diego State (4/17), when she tallied a personal-best nine points and six assists. For her efforts, Glagolev received Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week (4/22). She was consistent throughout the campaign, resulting in Second Team All-Conference recognition by the opposing coaches. Glagolev finished the season on a tear, saving her most productive moments for the stiffest competition. Over her last 12 games, she produced 45 points, with 13 of those coming against Top-25 teams.
The all-around game of the pair was also on display all season, as they both contributed in many facets of the game. They combined to pick up 44 ground balls, cause 12 turnovers, and earn 19 draw controls. As two of the leaders of the program, both served as co-captains at various games throughout the season.

Redshirt junior attacker Kerri Clayton still managed to dominate despite garnering a majority of the defensive attention due to a breakout year a season ago. Clayton finished with a team-high 33 goals, giving her 77 goals in 35 games during her Sun Devil career. She was a force to be reckoned with all season long, scoring three or more goals five times this season. Clayton put together arguably the best single-game performance by a Pac-12 player this season when she helped the Sun Devils earn a season sweep of Oregon (4/5). A record-breaking effort was turned in by Clayton, as she tied Colorado's Darby Kiernan for the Pac-12 single-game record for points (12). She finished with eight goals and four assists, both marks representing career-highs for the redshirt junior. For her efforts, Clayton received Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week (4/8). This represents Clayton's second consecutive appearance on the All-Conference Second Team, with the coaches around the league clearly recognizing her impact. Both Clayton and Glagolev found themselves at or near the top of the conference in several significant statistical categories. As previously mentioned, Glagolev's 33 assists lead the Pac-12 Conference, with Stanford's Ali Baiocco finishing in a distance second place with 27. Glagolev 56 total points were the fourth most in the conference this season, trailing three members of the First Team. Clayton's 33 goals tie her for eighth in the conference, while her 46 points also earn her a spot in the Top-10 in the Pac-12. Glagolev completed the 2019 season playing as well as anyone in the entire conference. She had at least one assist in each of her final 12 games, recording multiple points in 11 of her those 12 outings. Never taking a game off, Glagolev managed to tally at least one point in all 17 games she played this season.KERRI-ING the offense! ??
