TEMPE, Ariz – For the last time this season, Arizona State beach volleyball will be playing on their home courts at the PERA Club this weekend, April 6-7, hosting Utah, No. 7 Cal Poly, Abilene Christian and in-state rival No. 14 Arizona.
The tournament will start on Saturday when ASU will play Utah and Cal Poly at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. MST, respectively. Sunday will feature matchups against Abilene Christian at 12 p.m. MST and Arizona at 4 p.m. MST, which will be the senior day match. The dual match against the Wildcats will also give the winner half a point in the Territorial Cup Series. The Sun Devils lost the first contest in March in Tucson.
The Sand Devils (13-10, 1-4 Pac-12) went 3-2 last weekend on the road. The squad has surpassed the win total from 2018 after those wins. Two pairs went 4-1 through the five matches: Kate Baldwin and Samantha Plaster as well as Emily Anderson and Lauren Weintraub. Baldwin and Plaster currently lead the team in wins with 16.
