TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona State beach volleyball squad is set for the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship this weekend, April 25-27, in Los Angeles on USC's campus. The Sand Devils will be a No. 6 seed, playing No. 3 Cal in the first round.
In the first match of the tournament, Arizona State will play No. 11 Cal, the No. 3 seed, on Thursday, April 25 at 1:30 p.m. PT. winner of the dual will play on Friday at 10:30 a.m. PT against the winner of No. 2 seed USC against No. 7 seed Washington. The team that does not win will play at 9 a.m. PT on Friday in the contenders bracket.
The Sun Devils (19-12) are well rested and ready to go following an off weekend. They are currently on a four-match winning streak and have won five of the last six. This team hopes to continue its historic season after earning the most wins in a season in program history. Additionally, Kate Baldwin and Samantha Plaster became the winningest pair in ASU history.
ASU will use the relatively new lineup that was used against the last win over Abilene Christian. The lineup is subject to change.
