TEMPE, Ariz. – The Sun Devil Lacrosse team closes out regular season play with a trip to Los Angeles, taking on No. 16 USC on Saturday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. PT/MST.

Arizona State recently picked up their sixth win of the season, matching their total from last season. The squad will have one more chance in the regular season to set a new program-high mark for wins in a season, when they take on the Trojans at McAlister Field. Sun Devil Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium is beginning to provide a home-field advantage as the program develops, with the Maroon & Gold earning their fourth home win of the season after finishing with just one last season.

The Sun Devils were able to send their seniors out in style on Wednesday, earning a 13-11 victory over San Diego State in the final home game for defenders Rachel Gregory and Sydney Bosmans. The duo will always be remembered for having made a significant impact on Arizona State Lacrosse, helping set the foundation for the program moving forward. Both seniors saw playing time during their last game at Sun Devil Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium.

"It was a great opportunity to honor and celebrate Rachel and Sydney, two individuals that have sacrificed so much for this program," Coach Martinez Connor said after the game. "As a team, we wanted to make sure we did everything we could to assure they would walk off the field victorious one final time at home."

Despite having little time to prepare because of a quick turnaround, the Sun Devils were locked-in and ready to play from the opening whistle. Arizona State received offense in many forms, as the squad saw four different players enjoy multi-goal performances. Emily Glagolev showed no signs of rust after missing the last game, as she was effective all evening breaking down the Aztec defense. The sophomore attacker has taken her game to another level as the season moves along. After another brilliant performance in which she finished with a career-high nine points (3 goals & 6 assists), Glagolev now has an incredible 38 points over her last 10 games. She has at least two points in each of her last seven games. She reached the 50-point plateau for the season in style, putting the Sun Devils up for good with a goal late in the second half.

Glagolev was not alone in generating offense for the Sun Devils, as sophomore Taylor Carson turned in a season-best four goals. Carson's fifth multi-goal performance gives her at least one point in three consecutive games, as she has provided a spark off the bench as of late. Freshman Kaylon Buckner caused havoc on the Aztec defense, showing the ability to both score and facilitate. Buckner's three assists set a new career-high while her four points were the most she has produced since winning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honors, thanks to a four-point performance in the week one win over Kennesaw State.

The always consistent and reliable duo of Kylie Kroeger and Maria Villanti continue to excel in many aspects of the game. While scoring is only part of their games, both sophomore midfielders still managed to put together multi-goal performances in the win over San Diego State. For Villanti, it is the fourth consecutive game and seventh time over the last eight games that she has registered at least one goal, as she continues her hot scoring streak. Not to be outdone, Kroeger has at least one goal in six of her last eight outings, boasting five multi-goal efforts to her name. The duo has played in and started all 16 games for the Sun Devils this season.

Goalkeeper Berkeley Bonneau did what she does best, coming through with tough and timely saves as the last line of defense for the Sun Devils. She was effective yet again in the cage, making 14 saves, which represents her 11th double-digit save performance in 2019. That gives the junior 20 double-digit save efforts since arriving in Tempe. She currently sits second in the Pac-12 and ninth in the nation averaging 10.75 saves/game. Bonneau also picked up her sixth win of the season, beating her mark of five last year to capture the new school record for single-season wins.

Arizona State also received contributions throughout the roster, a big reason why they were able to hold on for the win. Freshman defender Cabrini Class joined the rush and picked up her first collegiate assist, while attacker Carley Adams, who had scored one goal entering Sunday's game, has now scored three goals over her past two games.

Riding their first two-game win streak of the season, the Sun Devils look to carry over that momentum as they face their sixth Top-25 opponent this season. USC recently came in at 16th in the latest Coaches' poll and they currently sit atop the Pac-12 Conference standings with just one game left to play. The Trojans boast a 13-3 record, including an 8-1 conference mark, with their only Pac-12 loss coming two weeks ago at the hands of No. 23 Colorado. Not only is a challenge to face a ranked team, the Sun Devils will have to overcome the fact that this will be their third game they have played over a seven-day span.

USC is led by Head Coach Lindsey Munday, who enters her seventh season at the helm of the Trojans Lacrosse team. Munday is the only coach the program has ever had. The Trojans boast an extremely strong postseason resume, earning four wins over ranked teams while sitting in the Top-10 in the second edition of the NCAA Lacrosse RPI rankings.

"Coach Munday has her team playing outstanding defense," Coach Martinez Connor remarked. "There is a reason they are at the top of the conference; they are challenging to prepare for and even more difficult to play."

The Pac-12 showdown will be broadcasted live through the USC Digital Stream. The contest will represent the regular season and Pac-12 finale for each side, with both teams immediately turning their attention to the Pac-12 Women's Lacrosse Tournament, which starts on April 25.
