After hosting No. 19 San Jose State, No. 21 San Diego State (SDSU) and Siena in the ASU Invitational #2 to end the season at home, No. 10 Sun Devil Water Polo team will travel west to Southern California in a matchup at No. 2 USC on Saturday, Apr. 13 (1 p.m. PT/MST).
The Sun Devils look to face a familiar opponent in USC for their second time this season after suffering a 7-1 loss back in February. The Trojans have maintained their consistent success all season long, only suffering one loss all season.
In their final home weekend series of 2019, ASU finished 2-1 in the three-game stretch, capturing wins over No. 21 SDSU (6-4) and Siena (17-3). Senior Maud Koopman led the way for the Devils, netting six goals and three assists to push her career scoring mark to 168 goals. She is now just seven goals away from the No. 3 spot in all-time ASU history.
Sophomore's Belen Ehinger and Bridget Johnston handled things behind the net in the two victories for the Devils. Johnston provided seven key saves in the contest against SDSU and teammate Ehinger tied a career high of 14 saves while only allowing three goals from Siena.
