ATLANTA – Oluoma Okaro and Ashley Wenz improve to 12-0 on the season as Arizona State beach volleyball goes 2-1 on the first day of the Diggin' Duals tournament, beating College of Charleston and North Carolina-Wilmington on Friday.
The Sun Devils (12-9, 1-4 Pac-12) got back on track today with the two 4-1 wins. All nine of ASU's losses this season have come against ranked opponents. Okaro and Wenz kept their winning streak alive with Okaro back from training with the U.S. National Team. They are now 12-0, including a two-set win against Georgia State's top duo.
Match One – ASU 4, College of Charleston 1
The Sun Devils snapped their losing streak in the first match of the day. Okaro won her first match with Wenz in a three-set thriller. The other three dual points came on courts three, four and five, all in two sets.
