TEMPE, Ariz. – For the second year in a row,
Cairo Leonard-Baker has been named a regular season All-American by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WGCA) on Wednesday, representing Arizona State gymnastics with national second team honors on the uneven bars.

Leonard-Baker is the first back-to-back All-American since Elizabeth Reid and Elizabeth McNabb from 1998-99. Reid was an All-American for three years in a row, 1997-99. Last year, Leonard-Baker was an All-American in the all-around, earning second team honors.
Student-athletes with the top eight National Qualifying Scores (NQS) for the regular season (with ties), which includes the conference championships, for each event plus the all-around earned All-America honors. Second team All-America honors are earned by student-athletes ranked Nos. 9-16 (with ties) in the NQS. The complete list is below.

The sophomore from Oakland, California has had a stellar year on bars. She was ranked in the top 15 all season, currently holding the No. 11 spot. In the Pac-12, she earned a
first team nod on bars, her second-straight honor in that event, improving from second team to first team. Leonard-Baker scored a 9.975 on bars at UCLA this year, this highest score by any ASU gymnast since 2007. At the Pac-12 Gymnastics Championships, she tied for second in the conference with a 9.950. On the year, she has six bars titles and has scored a 9.900 or better in seven meets.

The impact of Leonard-Baker has been felt all season by the Gym Devils. The fifth-place finish at the Pac-12 Gymnastics Championships was the best since 2006. Additionally, the team earned wins over three top-25 teams throughout the season. Leonard-Baker was also named to the All-Pac-12 First Team in the all-around. She won three all-around titles this season and five floor titles.

On Monday, the NCAA announced the teams in all four regionals. Arizona State will compete in the
Baton Rogue Regional, playing in the second session in the second round on April 5.
