TEMPE – Rain-soaked courts at the Whiteman Tennis Center prevented the Sun Devil women's tennis team from taking on the New Mexico State Aggies back in February, but coach Sheila McInerney announced Thursday that a makeup match with the Aggies has been scheduled for March 27 at 10 a.m.

The Aggies will come to town to take on the Devils next Wednesday in Tempe, and the match comes between a weekend Pac-12 homestand and a conference road trip to the Evergreen State.

Originally, New Mexico State was scheduled as the second-leg of a Sunday doubleheader, but inclement weather left the courts in an unplayable condition.

ASU has had an unusual number of rainouts in 2019, missing out on four matches because of wet surfaces in February alone, including tussles with Memphis, New Mexico State and TCU at home, and Pepperdine on the road in Malibu.
