TEMPE, Ariz. – The No. 19 Arizona State gymnastics team is back home this weekend, hosting No. 24 Stanford on Sunday in the Salute to Service meet in Wells Fargo Arena.
 
The Gym Devils (4-4) are looking to get to the next level this week. Last Saturday in a tri-meet at Cal, ASU took second with a 195.700, beating out No. 14 BYU. As a team, the Sun Devils are ranked in the top 25 in all four events: No. 15 on bars, No. 17 on beam and No. 25 on both vault and floor.
 
Individually, Cairo Leonard-Baker continues to shine for Arizona State. She is ranked No. 11 on bars, No. 27 in the all-around and No. 28 on floor. In the last meet, she did not score below a 9.825 in any event. She tied for the individual event title on bars with a 9.875.

  • The Cardinal's average score so far this year is 195.310. Their highest score is a 196.125 and their lowest is a 194.650.
  • They are ranked in the top 25 in three events: No. 13 on floor, No. 22 on beam and No. 24 on vault.
  • Last year, Stanford made it to NCAA regionals, taking fifth in Salt Lake.
The Salute to Service meet will feature many promotions for those in attendance. The first 250 fans will receive free light-up devil horns and there will also be a raffle for a free leotard. Throughout the meet, there will be events involving members of the military, including a card-writing station where fans can write letters to the military. Fans can also bring their own cards from home if they prefer and bring it to send.
 
The meet will begin at 4 p.m. MST in Wells Fargo Arena. It will be televised live on the Pac-12 Network and will have live scoring. Additionally, fans can follow along on twitter, @SunDevilGym.
