TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona State Women's Water Polo team announced its 2020 competition schedule on Thursday. The team's home schedule is highlighted by two non-conference tournaments and two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) conference dual matches. 

The Sun Devils open the season at home hosting Ottawa University of Arizona on Saturday, Jan. 25 for a pair of matches.

The following weekend, ASU will welcome Azusa Pacific, Cal State East Bay, Hawai'i, Princeton and Sonoma State for the Cross Conference Challenge Friday-Sunday, Jan. 31- Feb. 2. Competition will take place at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex on Friday and at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center, the Sun Devils' home pool, Saturday and Sunday. 

ASU will head to San Diego for their first road trip of the season, competing in the Triton Invitational at UC San Diego Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 8-9. 

The Sun Devils will then head a couple hours north for the Barbara Kalbus Invitational at UC Irvine Friday-Sunday, Feb. 21-23.

The team will begin MPSF conference play in California, traveling to the Bay Area to compete against San Jose State (March 7) and Stanford (March 8) before heading south again to take on UCLA on Sunday, March 14.

ASU will finish up tournament play at home, hosting the ASU Invite Friday-Sunday, March 21-23 at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center. Over the course of the weekend they will play host to non-conference opponents in Marist, OUAZ and University of the Pacific. 

The Sun Devils will continue conference play with two matches at Indiana, taking on the Hoosiers Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29 in Bloomington.

The team will return home for their final two competitions of the regular season, hosting Cal on Saturday, April 4 and USC on Saturday, April 11.

The 2020 MPSF Championships will take place at San Jose State Friday-Sunday, April 24-26. 

The Sun Devils look to follow an impressive 2019 season in which they spent the entire season ranked in the CWPA top 25, rising as high as No. 5 in the national rankings.
