TEMPE, Ariz. – Coming off of two road wins, Arizona State volleyball is looking to ride the momentum as two top-25 Pac-12 foes come to town, No. 22 Washington State on Thursday and No. 10 Washington on Sunday.
The Sun Devils (15-12, 7-9 Pac-12) swept the season series against both Oregon and Oregon State after winning both matches last weekend in five sets, the first time since 2002 ASU swept the season series over both teams. Additionally, it's the second road sweep of both Oregon schools in a row after winning both in 2018 as well.
Senior libero Courtney Leffel was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week after a strong weekend, earning 50 total digs. She moved into sixth place on the all-time digs list, upping her career total to 1,450. She needs 78 more digs to catch Jami Coughlin and move into the top five. She has 489 digs this season, closing in on the top-10 digs in a single season at ASU. She needs 49 more to break into the top 10.
Thursday will be Senior Night, recognizing the five Sun Devil seniors: Leffel, Jada Burse, Ivana Jeremic, Callie Jones and Nicole Peterson. It is also Cultural Heritage Night. On Sunday, ASU will celebrate Native American Heritage Month. Both matches will be streamed on the ASU Live Stream.
