TEMPE, Ariz. -- Sophomore midfielder Olivia Nguyen was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Second Team, announced by the Organization Thursday afternoon.
Nguyen, a Tempe, Ariz. native, played in 15 games for the Sun Devils this season, all while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA in the classroom, in pursuit of a degree in Biological Sciences.
The honor is the first for Nguyen, and is the first CoSIDA All-Academic honor for a Sun Devil since Madison Stark earned a First Team All-District nod in 2017.
The Academic All-District® teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.
